Academic Rigor & Faculty-Student Interaction

IBRAD takes credit for its efforts in terms of its academic rigor and faculty-student interaction. This is the result of their very high evaluation of the institute on sub-parameters of academic rigour and faculty interaction intensity.

The process of academic rigor facilitate active learning’s such as critical thinking, logical discussion and brain storming techniques as well as some of the more practical tools such as interviewing, survey design and analysis. On completion of the course students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the concepts as well as a range of practical skills which can be applied to both in their life as well as in profession.

Academic Rigor

Components forming the academic rigor include:

  • Provide Book Bank facility for students to a recommended text book for each course in addition to regular library services.
  • Carefully prepared course material, hand out supplied by the faculty for each course, in addition to the text book
  • Assignments on pre-class readings and post-class readings before and after each class
  • Announced and surprise tests in class, as apart of continuous evaluation and grading
  • Usage of high quality pedagogies, including case-analyses, role plays, and simulation games, presentation
  • 5-7components of evaluation of a student in each course, in addition to mid term and end term exams in each course.
  • A business awareness test conducted every week , based on that week's business magazine and newspaper reading
  • Encourage 100% attendance for students for each course
  • Display of attendance percentage on website every month.
  • Recognition and reward for outstanding performance fro students and the faculty members, for each semester.
