Information related to MBA Admission 2009

1. Eligibility:
  • Students scored less than 55% marks in all the board and university examinations need not apply.
  • Graduate in any discipline from recognized university.
  • Qualified in MAT or JEMAT
  • GD & PI
2. Number of Seats: 60

3. Course Fee: 3.30 Lac, including free laptop

5. Fee Structure:

Enrollment Fee: Rs. 20,000/- (One time during the time of admission)

Tuition Fee: Rs.65,500/- (Per Semester)

Development Fee: Rs. 8,000/-

Caution Money Deposit: Rs. 5,000/- (Refundable)

Library Fee: Rs. 1,500/- (Per Semester)

Book Bank: Rs. 2,000/- (Per Semester)

Students Welfare Fund: Rs. 2,500/- (per semester)

Soft skill development and project work : Rs 11,000- (1st semester – Rs 1500; 2nd Semester – Rs 4000; 3rd Semester – Rs 2,000 and 4th Semester – Rs 3,500)

6. Uniqueness and opportunities:
  • Eco friendly lush green campus on VIP Road, Kolkata
  • Coaching: Students weak in a particular subject are given special coaching classes on the basis of their requirements. Model answers are also given for different questions according to WBUT question pattern.
  • Mentoring: Mentoring is to support and encourage students to manage their own learning in order that they may maximize their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be.
  • Student Council: The student’s council has been formed for the overall development of students in IBRAD. The basic rationale behind the formation of this council is to help the students grow by sharing responsibilities, understanding the problem of fellow students, developing a problem solving attitude and ensuring their own development.
  • Session Test: Session tests are held after completion of each lecture where 4 questions are given to the students related to the topic taught in that particular class.
  • Assignment: Assignments of all subjects are given to the students to ensure that they are updated with the topics taught in class.
  • Book Bank: There is book bank facility for each student in addition to the regular library service.
  • Morning Assembly: Morning assembly is a forum where all the members of IBRAD including students, faculty, researchers and support staff meet everyday in the morning at 9.40 a.m. at IBRAD multi plaza to wish to build a positive, cohesive and symbiotic family bond.
  • Eating together: The faculties, students, project associates and all other staff members of IBRAD have their lunch together from 1:15pm-2:10pm to encourage a feeling of uniformity, unity and togetherness. Eating together enhances team spirit builds cultural tradition and provides opportunity for informal conversation. The meal time conversation is an opportunity to communicate without inhibition and frank talk. This facilitates informal learning and consensus building towards common goal of the students.
  • Company/Industry Network: Seminars, workshops and orientations are organized at regular intervals where representatives of different companies come and interact with the students to prepare the students for facing interview and to help them grow as a successful manager.
  • Projects: The projects are done in-house (IBRAD campus) or in any industry. It is preferred that students take up in-house projects and fabricate working models which have a long-lasting value for the Institute and give a sense of satisfaction to the students. However, when a student is particular in doing the project in an industry, he/she can do so after getting the prior approval from the Principal.
7. Session 2009-2011 starts from July 2009.

8. Prospectus along with form for admission to MBA 2009 will be available from the institute from 11th December, 2008 by depositing a sum of Rs. 500/-
