Procedure for admission in MBA course 2010-2012

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
MBA is a two year full time post graduate programme affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. The programme comprises of four semesters. The course aims at developing broad based knowledge in Management of various kinds of businesses and their administration. It also gives a dent to scope and coverage for specialization in different areas of management viz. Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Systems and Health Care service administration and Sustainable Development etc. On completion of the course, the students will become a full fledged management professionals who will be able to procure business, develop them and achieve the organizational goal when placed in an industry environment.
Course Curriculum :
The course approved by West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata will be followed with the scope of specialization in the aforesaid subjects and discipline. The students shall have to carry our Project work in both third and fourth semester at Industry level. Such topics of project will be decided in consultation with industry.
1. Eligibility:
- Graduate in any discipline from recognized university. Students scored 50% and above marks in any examination of the board and university examinations are encouraged to apply.

2. Number of Seats: 60 (25% for eligible JEMAT qualified candidates)
3. Course Fee: Rs. 4,44,500/- including laptop
4. Fee Structure:
Enrollment Fee: Rs. 20,000/- (One time during the time of admission which include fee for orientation and GD skills training)-can be paid in cash by Demand Draft, payable in Kolkata, favoring IBRAD.)
Institute Development Fee: Rs. 10,000/- (does not include Development Fee payable to WBUT)
Caution Money Deposit: Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable)
Students Welfare Fund: Rs 10,000/-
Book Bank: Rs 10,000/-
Library Fee: Rs 8,000/-

Note:
1) In addition to above students have to pay Uniform fees :
1 time (3 shirts, 2 trousers, 1 blazer, 2 ties, 1 bag)- Rs. 4,500/-
2) Form with Prospectus Rs. 700/-
3) Hot lunch will be provided to all students.
4) Laptop will be provided.
5) Provision for concession (if the fee is paid at one time) of Rs. 5,000/-
6) SAP/ERP live project training fees are included.
The above fee does not include. University examination fee and any other fees charged by the University from time to time.
5. Uniqueness and opportunities:
- Eco friendly lush green campus on VIP Road, Kolkata
- Coaching: Students weak in a particular subject are given special coaching classes on the basis of their requirements. Model answers are also given for different questions according to WBUT question pattern.
- Mentoring: Mentoring is to support and encourage students to manage their own learning in order that they may maximize their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be.
- Student Council: The student’s council has been formed for the overall development of students in IBRAD. The basic rationale behind the formation of this council is to help the students grow by sharing responsibilities, understanding the problem of fellow students, developing a problem solving attitude and ensuring their own development.
- Session Test: Session tests are held after completion of each lecture where 4 questions are given to the students related to the topic taught in that particular class.
- Assignment: Assignments of all subjects are given to the students to ensure that they are updated with the topics taught in class.
- Book Bank: There is book bank facility for each student in addition to the regular library service.
- Morning Assembly: Morning assembly is a forum where all the members of IBRAD including students, faculty, researchers and support staff meet everyday in the morning at 9.40 a.m. at IBRAD multi plaza to wish to build a positive, cohesive and symbiotic family bond.
- Eating together: The faculties, students, project associates and all other staff members of IBRAD have their lunch together from 1:15pm-2:10pm to encourage a feeling of uniformity, unity and togetherness. Eating together enhances team spirit builds cultural tradition and provides opportunity for informal conversation. The meal time conversation is an opportunity to communicate without inhibition and frank talk. This facilitates informal learning and consensus building towards common goal of the students.
- Company/Industry Network: Seminars, workshops and orientations are organized at regular intervals where representatives of different companies come and interact with the students to prepare the students for facing interview and to help them grow as a successful manager.
- Projects: The projects are done in-house (IBRAD campus) or in any industry. It is preferred that students take up in-house projects and fabricate working models which have a long-lasting value for the Institute and give a sense of satisfaction to the students. However, when a student is particular in doing the project in an industry, he/she can do so after getting the prior approval from the Principal.
