Mentoring System

"Mentoring is to support and encourage STUDENTS to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be…

The Institute monitors the progress of the students at a closer level through called mentoring. Under this Scheme about 10 to 15 students are assigned to a faculty who will maintain a record of the academic progress (mentors diary) of the students and have closer interaction with the students and provide guidance and counselling. The mentor arranges meetings of the students during assigned hours or at the convenience of both faculty and students. He/She can have meetings with the parents if needed. Mentoring is the synthesis of ongoing event, experiences, observation, studies, and thoughtful analyses. Normally the guidance and counselling provided by a mentor includes:

  • Listening to the students problems concerning class rooms, career opportunities and availability of educational / instructional resources;
  • Empowering students to cope with any difficulties in learning;
  • Facilitating students in solving personal problems, if any
  • Guiding students to improve Interpersonal relationships and work in team
